THIS IS YOU
Are you passionate about organizing events and creating memorable experiences? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in event planning for a leading contemporary art museum? If so, we invite you to apply for our Event Management Internship at Moco Museum! As an Event Management Intern, you will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events at Moco Museum, ranging from exhibition openings and VIP receptions to corporate events and cultural experiences. This internship provides a unique learning opportunity in the intersection of art, culture, and event production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Support the planning and execution of museum events, ensuring smooth operations 
•    Provide on-site support during events, ensuring a seamless visitor experience
•    Work closely with other teams (Marketing and Operations) to deliver successful events
•    Assist in evaluating events and gathering feedback for future improvements
•    Actively research and reach out to companies, educational centres, event planners, and venues to promote Moco Museum as a premium event space
•    Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop creative strategies for positioning Moco Museum as a unique event venue
•    Support the creation of promotional materials and outreach campaigns targeted at businesses and event agencies
•    Identify and explore new partnership opportunities to increase event bookings
•    Manage the museum’s event inquiry mailbox, responding to email requests from potential clients, answering queries, and providing information about event possibilities at the museum
•    With the guidance and support of Office Manager, handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and supplier coordination


REQUIREMENTS
•    Currently pursuing or recently completed an HBO degree (i.e Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Communication, or a related field)
•    Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken); able to communicate clearly and professionally in an executive environment
•    Well-organized and structured; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
•    Proactive and hands-on; takes initiative and is willing to step in wherever needed
•    Excellent communication skills – comfortable liaising with guests, suppliers, and team members
•    Adaptable to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Plus, flexible to work evenings or weekends occasionally for events
•    Creative mindset; brings fresh ideas to enhance event experiences
•    Strong teamwork skills; enjoys collaborating with different departments
•    Basic knowledge of budgeting and event logistics is a plus
