The museum’s collection includes works by Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Banksy, KAWS, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst, Yayoi Kusama and Studio Irma. With over 5 million visitors, including figures such as Barack Obama, Steven Spielberg, Venus Williams, Adele, Tim Cook, and Dua Lipa, Moco continues to engage visitors with its thought-provoking exhibitions.
THIS IS YOU
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is well-versed in bookkeeping, and has a solid understanding of financial processes within a Spanish context.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and maintain the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting records
  • Assist with monthly financial reports and support with budgeting and forecasting
  • Work together with our tax and law advisors to ensure compliance with Spanish tax and financial regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors or advisors
  • Use Excel to manage and analyze financial data
  • Collaborate with HQ based in Amsterdam to align financial processes and reporting
  • Work closely with the Barcelona team on financial planning and process improvements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic proficiency in English (spoken and written) as well as Spanish.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables)
  • Basic understanding of Spanish financial and tax regulations
  • Based in or near Barcelona (partial remote work possible)
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable
