THIS IS YOU
The Financial Controller plays a crucial role within Moco's administrative department and is responsible for managing all accounting activities. This position requires in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and accuracy to ensure that the organization's financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
The Financial Controller plays a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and transparency of the organization. This position requires both technical expertise and leadership to ensure efficient and accurate accounting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Our upcoming Museum in London is in search of a Financial Controller, who can effectively fulfil the following duties:  
 
 
  1. Financial Reporting: 
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and external stakeholders;
 
  1. Accounting and Administration: 
Manage general accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets. Oversee accounting transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations;
 
  1. Budget Management: 
Assist in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor budget execution and provide reports and analysis to management; 
 
  1. Audit Preparation: 
Coordinate preparation of financial data and documents for external audits. Collaborate with external auditors and ensure smooth audit process;
 
  1. Compliance and Tax: 
Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations. Manage tax returns and reporting;
 
  1. Process Optimization: 
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting department. Implement more efficient accounting procedures and systems.
REQUIREMENTS
  • ACCA qualified Accountant < 5 years relevant experience in the role of Financial Controller or a similar position;
  • Good understanding of UK VAT and Taxation, apart from UK accounting principles i.e preparing subsidiary accounts within a group structure framework.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • You have analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • You posses strong communication skills and the abaility to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
