Join Moco Museum as a Facility Manager and contribute to our mission of creating extraordinary art experiences across the globe. Your facility management expertise will be essential in ensuring a seamless museum experience and upholding the museum's commitment to excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, including exhibition spaces, public areas, offices, storage areas, and visitor amenities. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors to address maintenance needs promptly and efficiently;

  • Technical Service Coordination: Collaborate with the technical team to support the implementation of technical services for exhibitions, events, and daily museum operations. Ensure that technical equipment and infrastructure are functioning optimally and comply with safety regulations;

  • Budget Management: Assist the Head of Technical Services in developing and managing the facilities and technical services budget for your location. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure cost-effective facility management practices;

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all facilities and technical services adhere to safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular inspections, maintain safety protocols, and organize safety training for staff and visitors;

  • Space Planning and Utilization: Collaborate with the museum's design and exhibition teams to plan and optimize space utilization for exhibitions, events, and daily operations. Ensure space arrangements align with technical requirements and enhance the overall visitor experience;

  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to source necessary materials, equipment, and services for facility management and technical operations. Build and maintain strong partnerships with reliable vendors;

  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans for your location, ensuring staff is trained to handle emergencies effectively and efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in facility management or a similar role, preferably within a cultural institution or museum setting;

  • Familiarity with technical equipment and infrastructure used in museums, including audiovisual systems, lighting, climate control, and security systems, is advantageous;

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving;

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facility management and technical services;

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;

  • Available on weekends and outside usual working hours.

HOW WOULD YOU OPERATE WITHIN OUR TEAM?

As a Facility Manager at Moco Museum, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the facilities and technical services at London (under construction). Reporting directly to the Head of Technical Services, you will collaborate closely with the technical team and other departments to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional visitor experience.
