Join Moco Museum as a Senior Technical Employee and contribute to our mission of creating extraordinary art experiences across the globe. Your technical expertise and collaborative approach will enhance the visitor experience and support the museum's commitment to excellence.

As the Senior Technical Employee at Moco Museum, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise and support at your specific location - Amsterdam, Barcelona, or London (under construction). Collaborating with the Facility Manager, Technical Managers, and other technical team members, you will assist in the implementation of technical services for exhibitions, events, and daily museum operations, ensuring flawless execution and visitor satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of audiovisual systems, lighting, climate control, and other technical equipment to support exhibitions, events, and daily museum operations. Ensure technical setups are efficient, reliable, and aligned with artistic vision.
  • Facility Management Support: Collaborate with the Facility Manager to oversee facility maintenance, addressing technical needs promptly and efficiently. Support the maintenance and repair of facilities, exhibition spaces, public areas, offices, storage areas, and visitor amenities.
  • Exhibition Assistance: Work closely with curators, exhibition designers, and the technical team to ensure technical requirements for exhibitions are met effectively and within the defined timeline. Assist in the installation and deinstallation of exhibits.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and best practices, ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and artworks. Report any safety concerns or potential hazards to the Facility Manager.
  • Space Management: Collaborate with the Facility Manager and Technical Managers to support space planning and utilization for exhibitions, events, and daily operations. 
  • Equipment Inventory: Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of technical equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with the Facility Manager to coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for technical equipment, materials, and services.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist in emergency situations, following established protocols and providing support as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support, facility management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with technical equipment used in museums, including audiovisual systems, lighting, and climate control, is advantageous.
  • Carpentry experience is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.
