Retail Top Seller (AMS)

• Driving sales through attentive upselling is at the heart of your role, helping customers discover and take home products they will be inspired by.

• Handle sales and transactions with care and efficiency, including memberships and gift wrapping, while ensuring every interaction feels smooth and positive.

• You contribute to a positive team environment by supporting, encouraging, and motivating your colleagues, sharing tips and knowledge to help each other grow and deliver exceptional customer service together.

• You will proactively and confidently approach visitors in a friendly and welcoming way, guiding them to products that match their interests and needs.

• Maintain a professional and inviting atmosphere on the sales floor, ensuring it is visually appealing and organized at all times. 

•  Respond to visitors’ questions with confidence and enthusiasm, sharing your knowledge of the Museum and our range of products.

• Assist with inventory management tasks, such as regular stock counts and identifying product shortages. 

• Adhere to cash handling procedures and reconcile register balances at the beginning and end of shifts. 

• Follow scheduling and zoning guidelines to optimize giftshop operations and customer service.

• Previous experience in mainstream and trendy retail brands is seen as an advantage.

• Genuine enthusiasm and a winning attitude toward sales. Experience can grow, but the right mindset makes all the difference

• Friendly, approachable and confident, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that make visitors feel welcome. You love to see them smile and leave the shop feeling happy.

• Motivated to help visitors find the perfect gift or keepsake, creating a positive and engaging shopping experience.

• Able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and adapt easily to changing priorities.

• Flexible availability, including weekends, bank holidays and peak museum seasons.
